Intralox Opens New Facility in Baltimore

Following years of rapid growth in the parcel and logistics segment, Intralox announced the opening of its new 230,000-sq ft facility in the shadows of Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The new facility consolidates operations formerly housed in three facilities. The expanded facility will support the research and production of Intralox’s patented Activated Roller Belt (ARB) equipment.

The expansion gives Intralox the ability to collaborate with customers like never before, thanks to increased space for product testing and production. Before equipment is shipped, customers are invited to send their product for testing to ensure the solution fits their needs.

“At Intralox Baltimore, our team has the opportunity to work closely with our customers to test new solutions and bring them to market faster,” said Intralox President Edel Blanks. “We are seeing great results from this real-time collaboration.”

As e-commerce and logistics industries have grown, so has Intralox’s presence in Baltimore. Since entering the Baltimore market in 2007 with 30 employees, over 220 employees have been added. Today, 54 patents have been granted to Intralox Baltimore experts.

“Our expansion brought all of our product development and operations under one roof in Baltimore,” Blanks said. “This created an environment where our new product development, testing, integration, and production teams can work beside each other every day.”
