Making It Easier to Meet Your Sustainability Goals

At Intralox, sustainability is an integral part of our Business Philosophy and Corporate Social Responsibility commitments. Our ongoing effort to reduce our plastic products’ environmental impact now includes a partnership with PreZero in The Netherlands. This provides a certified end-of-life recycling solution for modular plastic belting (MPB).

Our European customers now have a practical way to align with their corporate sustainability goals while supporting a circular plastics economy.

We’re also exploring recycling partnerships in the U.S. to expand program access. If you know of regional recycling resources, please contact Intralox Customer Service.

How The Program Works

PreZero processes your used MPB via closed-loop recycling:

  • Grinding: Belts are shredded into smaller pieces
  • Separation: Materials are cleaned and sorted by polymer type
  • Reintegration: The resulting regrind is returned to the global plastics supply chain for reuse

Preparing Belts for Recycling

  1. Clean: Belts must be free of debris and heavy residue
  2. Secure: Palletize belts in a box or with a band so they are load secure and forklift ready. Tip: Reuse your Intralox packaging from new belt shipments for returns.
  3. Ship: Arrange shipping through your preferred carrier or directly with DHL via the PreZero link here. PreZero can assist with shipment setup if needed. Note: Customers are responsible for freight costs only.

Accepted Materials

  • MPB made from acetal (POM), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), or nylon (PA)
  • Belts with rods made of other materials (confirm with PreZero if unsure)

Not Yet Accepted

  • Roller belts with metal axles (e.g., Series 400 Angled Roller)
  • ThermoDrive belts (TPU material)
  • Polyketone belts (rods may be accepted)
