Intralox Clamp Tensioner Tool

Opening, tensioning, and repairing closed-top conveyor belts can be difficult—especially on wide, heavy, or inclined conveyors, where standard tools struggle. The Intralox Clamp Tensioner Tool Set is designed to help Maintenance teams perform belt service procedures with more controlled, repeatable belt tensioning and release.

Unlike c-clamps or friction-based tools, each Clamp Tensioner Tool uses positive mechanical engagement rather than friction. It doesn’t rely on belt openings, making it a strong fit for closed-top belt applications where hook-based tools aren’t appropriate.

How the Intralox Clamp Tensioner Brings Value to Maintenance Teams

  • More controlled belt service: Helps reduce the risk of uncontrolled release during belt service procedures by supporting more controlled tensioning and release
  • Consistent results: Enables repeatable belt service outcomes by reducing operator-to-operator variability
  • Better fit for closed-top belts: Works in applications where hook-based tools are inappropriate; it doesn’t rely on belt openings
  • Useful across key service tasks: Designed to support approved belt service procedures, including belt installation, repair, and replacement—and shortening where approved

How to Use It

You can use the Clamp Tensioner Tool Set for these processes: installation, repair, replacement, or shortening (where approved).

The Clamp Tensioner Tool Set is compatible with straight-running, flat top belts up to 1-in thick. It's designed for applications where belts need to be opened, tensioned, or repaired—especially on:

  • Wide conveyors
  • Heavy belts
  • Inclined conveyors
  • Applications where standard hook-based tools can’t be used

The Clamp Tensioner Tool Set includes four identical clamps so you can place two clamps on each side of the belt. Attach them securely using a D-shackle connection, then build up tension using a standard ratchet strap or come-along (not included). This setup helps distribute force evenly across the belt for more controlled operation.
