Intralox Celebrates Ten Years of Success with the Transverse Roller Top Solution

May 2009 - In 2009, Intralox celebrates the 10-year anniversary of the first Transverse Roller Top (TRT) solution, created for 90 degree transfers of finished tires. This solution was developed 10 years ago, with and for the tire industry. This solution has proven to simplify systems, solve conveyance issues, and save customers money by reducing maintenance and downtime. It has also proven to be a durable solution. In fact, most of the initial installations have been running for 10 years now and are still going strong.

The TRT solution has been implemented at all major tire makers worldwide. The simplicity of the design has changed the method for conveying tires over 90 degree transfers and, over the years, has revolutionized the design of conveyance systems in the finished tire area. The technology eliminates jams, scrap, and downtime in the trench lines after the curing presses and increases throughput by enabling higher sorting speeds. It can be used in final finish applications for sorting lines, centering, and 90 and 180 degree transfers.
